Grade 7 Math Surface Area and Volume Homework

This will not be assigned until Friday, however with the weekends being busy, some of you may want to get a head start on it. The homework will be due on Wednesday of next week, and there will be a quiz on Friday.

Pg 96 #1 - 6
Pg 99 #1 - 9
Pg 102 #1-2, 4-6, 8

Measurement and Geometry: Polyhedra and Dilations

Unit Objectives - The focus of this unit is to:
-          perform calculations to solve for volume and surface area of prisms and cylinders
-          develop techniques to enlarge and dilate images
-          develop sketching techniques in 2 and 3 dimensions
-          use ratios to make accurate scale drawings in 2 and 3 dimensions

Assessment:
As this is our final unit our assessment will be as follows:
- dilation illustration (if you are not at school during the last week you will need to start this assignment sooner and hand in by 20 June 2014 https://www.dropbox.com/s/oikv5me1jk8n67w/Mathematics%20Unit%2010%20-%20Dilation%20Exploration%20files%20OLD.docx)
- unit quiz
- condo project (hands on assessment)
