There are many different flavours of ice cream. I believe that Lobster Ice Cream is one of the more uniquely delicious flavours. Lobster Ice Cream was created exclusively for Bedford Park's Ice Cream Shoppe (Persaud, 1978, pg 6). It's ingredients actually have no lobster in it (Duasrep, 2013), but the colours of the ice cream look like lobster tails.

In this example the student used information from a book written by Persaud in 1978, and the information was found on page 6. In the first citation, the student makes reference to where they got the information from, what year it was published, and what page. The second citation also has the author's name and the publication year...but no page number. Let's look at the Works Cited list (the evolution of the bibliography).

Works Cited

Duasrep, Han Lobster Ice Cream Ingredients www.lobstersarecool.com/icecream/weird/yum, 4 October 2013

Persaud, Skywalker The Glory of Ice Cream, Mos Eisley, 1978, pgs 2-832

In this works cited list, each reference document is listed in alphabetical order by author's last name. It the book citation, the publication city, year of publication, and pages used are also included. Perhaps you are reading a book and the entire book was useful; there is no need to include the page numbers.

From the Welcome Letter:
