Anne Frank Post 1

Today we (finally) dug deeper into our first novel study.

Each time we finish reading an entry we want to write one sentence that either:

a) summarizes the entire entry; or

b) identifies the main idea of the entry; or

c) determine why Ms Frank wrote the entry.

We also recognized that longer entries might need more than once sentence.

Each of you should have a separate sheet of paper dedicated to a vocabulary list. Every time we finish a block of entries, try to record at least 3 words that are either unfamiliar/unknown, or that you would like to use more often in your own writing.

Tonight we are reading the entries from 21 and 24 June 1942. Tomorrow three students will perform a read-aloud on the following three entries (30 June, 3 and 5 July).

Here are some more notes to consider about the setting of Anne Frank, as well as a link to an excellent reading support document (highly encouraged to read it over the weekend)
